I met the king in 1994 and went to work in his little store. I was farming for nine months out of the year and working at the Grocery Outlet or Gross Out for the winters. The place was the size of a garage with groceries stacked up to the ceiling and barely enough room to walk in the aisles. The groceries were out of date products like cereals, breads, and snacks. We also had dented cans, crushed boxes, and old candy. My job was to unload the trucks, clean and sort through the smashed products, stock the shelfs, and keep an eye on david. I took David to amsterdam in 1999. here are some pics. David is alive today at the age of seventy four.
